As with most state parks this one is beautiful. Although not on the water it does have a great view of Wanapum lake from the 10 or so sites located on that side of the park. A walking trail provides access to a grassy and shaded picnic/swimming area and the park does have a nice 2 lane boat launch with two docks. Although the state web site states there is a $7 charge to use the launch we could find no evidence of a pay station and watched as several boaters came and went without fees. Perhaps things are different in the busier summer months. After Labor day the sites are first come first get, no reservations are possible. We noticed the campground getting full every day so you had better plan to get there early. The inner back in sites are generally very wide and the one we chose easily accommodated our 37' motorhome with our bass boat and car parked along side. Only negative was that there was an over abundance of small gnats or flies coming from all the grass which made being outside miserable, I would hope that they could lay down something in the grass to take care of these pests. We loved the park however and will return in the future.

I have been coming here for over 35 years now and have seen this "resort" deteriorate quite a bit. It is no longer the gem it once was. The docks are in poor shape, the boat launch is narrow with no dock and lots of weeds. The small bridge over the creek that once was the entry to the campground is now not capable of holding big RVs so a alternate entry was made through a field which is gravel but a bit rough. The park lacks the amenities that many people want but of which are of no use to us such as pools, playgrounds for the kids, etc. We use our own shower and bathroom and don't down grade a park because of theirs. What this park offers is friendly folks and huge sites that accommodate our 37' motorhome and our car and our bass boat all in one site with plenty of room to spare and all for one fee. There just isn't anywhere else on this lake (or many others for that matter) that will allow that for this price. For those reasons we put up with the old docks and continue to use this as our base when fishing the lake. We do wish that someone could infuse some money into this old favorite to bring it up to par. One note: we have always had 30amp power here, so don't know why the last reviewer said it only has 20amp.

Where to start? This park wants to be so much and offer a lot but falls short so badly when it comes to RVers. It is not what I would consider to be a good RV park. They seem to be catering to the "under 35, wake board boat driving, jetski ridin', cheep beer drinkin' and only enough money after boat payments to afford a tent" crowd. RV sites as the last reviewer noted were laid out terribly. Only a handful of sites actually have "full" hookups the others are water and electricity only. Of those sites they only had 30 amp service. Most sites are grassy but unlevel or very hard to access, There are only about 10 good sites out of the 200? or so that they say they have that are acceptable to large RVs (over 33'). The shade is nice but also means you will have zero satellite availability. Oh yeah, and your cell phone won't work here either (I know that isn't the park's fault). Wi-Fi was very iffy and we were right across the street from the lodge. The dock was in fairly good shape but slip #3 which they put us in was broken in half, had exposed bolts sticking out from the patch job and the fenders put on the poles that keep the dock in place had slid down under water. For the $13/night (winter rate, $26 in the summer) rate for the dock slips this is inexcusable! Staff was friendly and the did move us to another slip right away. The on-site restaurant was fairly priced and the food was general "bar" fare, which was fine. My advice, if you have a large RV then keep on driving past this park. Oh, and one last thing. On weekends the "quiet hours" are from 12 midnight to 6 AM. Give me a break! I wouldn't even come here for a "guy's fishing" trip, way toooo expensive for that.

Very nice grassy and well shaded campground on the shores of Lake Roosevelt right at Keller Ferry. Nearby boat launch and marina with small store, moorage available at the marina for extra charge. Marine fuel dock also available. Boat launch area makes it easy to launch a boat even with a large RV, and you can store your trailer in the parking area on the far side. We noticed that only a few of the sites (perhaps only about 25%) were close to being level; the others were not anywhere close. Picnic tables were provided and in nice shape. Shade trees do a nice job of keeping the RV cooler even on 80+ degree days but use of a satellite dish is about out of the question. We will camp here again, though.

On top of the bluff overlooking Keller Ferry and the marina. Outer sites near the edge have a nice view of Lake Roosevelt, however most of these seem to be permanently filled with full time residents. Sites are almost all large pull troughs and are grassy with lots of shade trees. Shade is nice but also means there are very few sites where your satellite antenna will work if mounted to your roof. Staff was very friendly and due to the fact that it was after labor day they even allowed us to park our car and bass boat in the site next to the motorhome so that we could get power to the boat to charge it's batteries. A small on site store has a few of the essentials as well as made to order espresso and lattes. There is also a deli with burgers, sandwiches and Schwan's ice cream. Wi-Fi worked well at our site on the outer row but due to the fact that it is satellite based they do ask you keep the uploads to a minimum. This is the only RV park near Keller Ferry with hookups. If we need power we will stay here again when we return for more great fishing on Lake Roosevelt.

The Good: Typical state park, well kept, paved level sites that are very roomy. Sites have picnic tables and fire grates. Lots of shade, good when it is hot but you won't get any satellite signal here. Pull through sites will accommodate larger rigs although some may be tight for 40' rigs. The reason for the "5" rating: The name should have been "Exit 70, I-90 state park" as the park is closer to the freeway than the lake. Highway noise throughout most of the park is so bad you have to yell across the campfire for anyone to hear you. We have stayed at campgrounds in downtown Las Vegas and Moab, UT, that were much quieter at night than this. It's just disappointing to say the least. Only a handful of sites actually have an obstructed view of the lake. Although good for canoeing or kayaking, Lake Easton has a 10hp limit for boats and since the state has not stocked the lake with fish for several years the fishing is about non-existent. Nearby Lake Kachess and it's forest service campground/boat launch would be a much quieter experience on a lake that allows boats and actually is abundant with fish (Kokanee, Macinaw and Burbot). Lake Easton State Park is very popular in the summer (although I don't know why), requiring reservations. For our money there is much better places to camp than this park on the freeway.

This campground never fails to please. On our latest visit it would appear that all the hard surface areas have been re-sealed and are in great condition. There are no shortage of sites to accommodate large rigs and because most of the sites have trees that top out just about roof height, satellite dishes on top of a rig work great. Wireless internet is available in nearby Manzanita (about a 5 minute drive from the park) at the public library either inside or in their parking lot when they are closed. We also found other "hot spots" around town one could use as well. If you plan to visit during the busy summer months you had better make reservations early. The park can also be a real zoo during the busy months which is why we prefer to visit in January or February. We had the park mostly to ourselves besides the campground hosts. This is just one of those parks that keeps us coming back time and time again. Also, be sure to visit Doogers Restaurant in nearby Cannon Beach for great seafood and awesome clam chowder.

First of all this park should have been listed under the city of 'Charleston' rather than Coos Bay as it is closer. If you are looking for parks in this area take a look under Charleston to get a better idea of what is available. As with all the Oregon State Parks we have visited this park is well kept and clean. The park lays in a gully and is heavily forested. During the winter months the campground only receives about 1 hour give or take of direct sunlight making the park cold dark and a little claustrophobic feeling. We saw several sites that would accommodate rigs up to around 38' with a toad but over that you are pushing your luck. The nearby hiking trails along the coastal cliffs are a must to see and absolutely beautiful. For the same money we will stay at nearby Bastendorf County Park next time which is identical in appearance but has many more sites that can accommodate larger (up to 40') rigs with ease and has a little less cover and more sunlight.

Did not find evidence of any pull through sites as previously mentioned. We have a 37' motorhome and pull a Jeep. If you have anything larger DONT COME HERE! There is only one place to turn around and we made the mistake of going up to the lake "campground" which is really small and there is absolutely no place to turn a big rig if you have a towed vehicle. TAll this being said it is our type of campground, no pool, no clubhouse, just nature and a great setting.

The Good: All paved, sites with grassy yards. Most sites are fairly level. Friendly staff, nice pool area. VERY well equipped RV store with lots of parts you just don't find in most parks. The Bad: Internet access!!! In this day and age most RV parks charging half as much offer FREE INTERNET! Here it costs another $5.95 PER COMPUTER over the park fees. For that charge you get what is clearly spelled out as "AS/IS, AS AVAILABLE" service, which means that the service 2 rows over from the main building was so bad we quit trying to get our Email in frustration. the hookups are strangely located in the center of each site. I have a 15' sewer hose and could not reach the dump, that's a first in almost 30 years of RVing for me. Very little shade especially in the pull through sites which is where most rigs are parked. I know most people who stay here are mesmerized by the pool but we just aren't those kind of RVrs. Give me a level site, with hookups I can reach and good Internet for $30 and I am a happy camper. If you want an overpriced campground and no Internet access for your stay in Vegas this is the park for you.

This park only has about 3 things going for it. 1) The staff is friendly, 2) Water pressure was phenomenal, 3)With the Camp Club USA membership the fee was truly half price, $14.50/night. From there it is all down hill. The biggest problem is that the sites are much too small for most rigs over 30'. We saw rigs with their rear ends extending into the aisles behind them to the extent that it made the aisle useless for anything to get through but an ATV. Most rigs had to back out of their spots, down the aisle and around a corner to get out. A harrowing maneuver if you are driving a long rig or worse a 5er or trailer! There is just no excuse for this. The laundry consisted of 2 washers and 2 dryers, no where near enough for a park this big. If the winds are blowing this park is out in the open with no real protection from blowing dust, provided by the adjacent horse arena and stables. We had to rush to close the windows as we were enveloped by a dust storm on one evening and spent hours cleaning up our motorhome afterwards. Forget using an awning the winds make it prohibitive. If the wind isn't blowing then the flys are horrible. I don't know their origin but we spent too much time trying to rid our rig of the flys and left us praying for more wind or rain! There are "permanent" RVs in the park, a condition I really don't like but most of the residents kept their "yards" organized and clean. One such resident was too eager to remove our laundry from the washer even though we were only about 2 minutes behind it's shutoff time. I really don't like people handling our laundry, thank you very much!!! Unlike an earlier reviewer we found the wireless internet to work well even in the outer row however with low signal strength. If it isn't working well it is either because of too many users at any given time or the equipment of the individual, a condition we had ourselves in other parks until we upgraded to better equipment. We chose this park only because of the 1/2 price for the Campclub USA membership but the small sites, wind and flys will keep us from coming back. We will be more than happy to pay full price for a more comfortable site in town on our next visit to Moab.

The only reason we stayed here is because A. We didn't know any better and B. Our friends house was a block away. The park is owned and operated by the City of Anacortes and it appears that there is no one here that knows how to run an RV park. This is definately NOT a big rig freindly park. Our motorhome is only 30' and we had a heck of a time in this park. The roads were dirt and very muddy as well as narrow. My biggest problem with the park is that it is layed out so that you have to pull nose in to all the sites as the hookups are at the front of each site and on the wrong side. However, the traffic flow through the park is backwards making it extreemly difficult to pull into a site. Because of the backward flow the pull through site we found had the hookups on the wrong side. I had to do a big turn around number to get into the site. The pay station was a vending machine type of system that wouldn't accept crisp new $20 bills, so we had to wait for one of the park employees to find us (the office wasn't readily identifiable) The park is situated in the woods with really tall cedars, which means that your satellite receiver won't work. Because of the density of the forest, little or no sun gets through either. Trees are so close that awninings are practically useless. On top of all this, the park doesn't accept reservations except from residents of the city of Anacortes! WHAT!!!! I can't even begin to try and comprehend this policy. My advice would be to bypass this one and go 10 minutes down the road to Deception Pass State park. Besides the main campground there is a little known and smaller campground on Bowman bay that is great.

This is a beautiful park and has exactly what I look for in an RV park. The sites are grassy, well kept and large. The entire park has lots of shade trees, not so for the "Jellystone" park across the street. About half of the sites are pull through and most of them offer a good view of the southern sky for the satellite dish. The Wi-Fi works well. If you plan to stay in the summer when the temps are hot (100 every day we were here) you will definitely want to be here rather than at the other park across the street due to all the shade trees. We highly recommend this one and will definitely be back in the future. NOTE: You MUST make reservations as the park stayed full every night we where here.

Sure wished we had found this site first before our stay at this stinker. Where to begin? This is one of those "RV Parks" with permanent residents. Trailers up on blocks with tarps over them, etc. The managers were new and stated that "The owner doesn't allow overnighters". In other words if you are passing through Packwood and need a place for one night, pass on through! No picnic tables, no fire pits or grates, very un-kept. We could find no other parks listed on other sites for this area and since we were going skiing in the winter at White Pass, the Forest Service campgrounds are closed this time of year. We did find while we were there that there is an "RV" parking lot directly across the street from the White Pass ski area for skiers to use. No hookups. There is also a much much nicer looking park 7 miles west of Packwood, called Cascade Peaks RV park. In summary, stay away from this park, we won't be back.

This is one of our favorite places in Washington state. We try to get here at least once per year. As others have stated the views are beautiful, the campground is clean and well kept. Ocean front sites are $30/night, others are $25. Wi-Fi internet is available at $6.95/24 hour period. Downtown Pt. Townsend is a 5 minute walk away and there are a lot of great shops to visit. We highly recommend the "Nifty Fiftys" diner on the waterfront near the north end of town for great ice cream shakes, malts and 50s type fare. For an up-scale restaurant with great clam chowder try the Belmont Hotel also on the waterfront in the middle of town. There is also a chinese restaurant and a small cafe at the campground. No campfires are allowed, this is because it is within city limits and it is a city ordinance. At low tide try walking west up the beach to the absolutely beautiful (in the summer) city garden park featuring lots of flowers and landscaping. I do recommend reservations especially if you want one of the waterfront sites.

Located 8 mi north of Republic on the west side of Curlew Lake. 60 sites are pull through, 32 sites on the water. Sites are very large and grassy with easy access for large rigs with tipouts. During off peak times the owner let my friend and I park my tow vehicle pluss my friends Jeep & boat trailer at the site with lots of room to spare and no extra charge. Setting is beautiful and one of my favorite unknown places in Washington to visit. The lake is known for excellent trout fishing. Small and largemouth bass are also in the lake (take a small boat through the cut in the south end of the lake to Roberta Lake to find some great bass fishing!!) Owners are friendly and helpful if not a little slow at times. Boat and motor rentals are available. They have a volleyball area, horseshoe pits, tether ball, swings, etc. There are 2 docks for small boat moorage close to the camp sites. They have had problems with Geese and their associated mess. It is an ongoing battle and they do their best. If the campground is empty don't be surprised if the owner asks you to let your dog off the leash to chase the geese back into the lake! Nice people, great setting, excellent fishing keep us coming back year after year (for 25 years now).
